EN According to statistics, human factors in aviation cause the highest number of air crashes. This means that a human being, with his or her limitations, is the weakest element of the aviation system. Therefore, theoreticians and practitioners construct different models, whose aim is to explain the causes of such a high number of air accidents stemming from people’s wrong actions or lack of any action on their part. Depending on the discipline that they pursue, theoreticians pay attention to various aspects of human functioning. The models concerning human factors can be divided into non-systemic and systemic. Whereas the former focus on personality traits which can predispose a person to accidents, the latter are related not only to human personality, but they also describe human cooperation within the system containing many constituent elements.
