Abstract
EN The international security environment is characterized by a rapid rate of change, uncertainty, ambiguity and unpredictability. Due to the evolution of thinking about security, but also often the colloquial perception of these problems, these issues have not always been and are properly interpreted. This article constitutes a new approach to the perception of the very essence of security. The aim of the article is to analyze and assess the most important threats as well as opportunities which, according to the author's assessment, have an impact on safety resulting from the time criterion.
