Abstract
EN The article analyzes the evolution of operational concepts during the Cold War, with a particular focus on their role in shaping military strategy and force capabilities. The study was to define key concepts such as ‘military power,’ ‘combat power,’ ‘combat potential,’ and ‘operational concept.’ The author conducted a critical analysis of major NATO and Warsaw Pact operational concepts, including Air-Land Battle, Follow-On Forces Attack (FOFA), and Effects-Based Operations (EBO). Comparative analysis and evaluation of military doctrines and scholarly publications were employed. The findings indicate that operational concepts were crucial for the development of military strategy and force modernization, with their effectiveness depending on adaptability and technological advancement.
PL W artykule omówiono ewolucję koncepcji operacyjnych w okresie zimnej wojny oraz ich rolę w kształtowaniu strategii wojskowej i zdolności sił zbrojnych. Zdefiniowano kluczowe pojęcia, takie jak „siła militarna”, „siła bojowa”, „potencjał bojowy” oraz „koncepcja operacyjna”. Przeprowadzono krytyczną analizę najważniejszych koncepcji operacyjnych NATO i Układu Warszawskiego tego okresu: bitwy powietrzno-lądowej (Air-Land Battle), Follow-On Forces Attack (FOFA) oraz operacji opartych na efektach (EBO). Z badań wynika, że koncepcje operacyjne miały duże znaczenie dla rozwoju strategii wojskowej i modernizacji sił zbrojnych, a ich skuteczność zależała od zdolności adaptacyjnych i postępu technologicznego.
