EN This paper explores the nature and significance of powers that play a crucial role in shaping the international order of the 21st century. An integral focus is placed on defining emerging powers as a distinctive phenomenon within the international security landscape. Drawing on insights from social sciences research, a comprehensive definition of emerging powers is formulated, taking into consideration the factors and prerogatives attributed to them. The paper delves into the nuanced understanding of emerging powers and their impact on the creation of the international order. This exploration is undertaken through the lenses of both realistic and liberal paradigms, offering a multifaceted analysis of their roles, behaviors, and contributions. The realistic perspective sheds light on power dynamics, strategic interests, and geopolitical considerations, while the liberal viewpoint considers norms, institutions, and cooperative mechanisms in shaping the international order. The paper aims to contribute to the discourse on the evolving global power structure and its implications for international relations. By examining the role of emerging powers, the paper seeks to provide a nuanced understanding of their significance in navigating the complexities of the contemporary international security environment.
