Streszczenie
EN The assessment of the execution of logistic processes, especially courier services, mainly depends on the speed and prompt completion of the delivery of a parcel to the recipient. One of the most difficult problems in this area is the synchronisation of the delivery time of a parcel by a courier company with the time at which the recipient is ready to receive it. The paper treats parcel lockers as one of the elements creating the modern infrastructure of logistic processes both domestically and internationally. What is more, the author emphasises the importance of parcel lockers for the efficiency and safety of the execution of the abovementioned logistic processes. The author pays attention to the principal factors that determine this infrastructure as well as to the processes taking place on the courier services market that may influence its efficiency and safety.
