EN In recent years we have seen a spike in interest in cybersecurity, resulting in an increasing number of individuals and organisations being established to deal with this problem. However, in order to carry out public tasks in this area more effectively, it is necessary for particular entities to cooperate and exchange information. Cooperation mechanisms to ensure the security of network and information systems are defined in Directive (EU) 2016/1148 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 6 July 2016 concerning measures for a high, common level of security of network and information systems across the Union (OJ EU L 194/1).
