Abstract
EN The article is aimed at showing and substantiating that crisis management of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation may be considered as a subject of research under security studies. Therefore it seemed desirable to explain the gist of the crisis management system and then identify several research areas therein. It was also very important to explain the research model, which seems to be applicable in research on crisis management in the international dimension. The identified problem required the application of theoretical research methods such as: analysis, synthesis, inference and abstraction. The analysis ends with an outline of major conclusions as regards the study of this extremely complex issue.
