Abstract
EN The strategic partnership between NATO and the European Union seems to be natural, resulting from many common security goals. Despite this, cooperation between both organizations is difficult, often characterized by distrust and a lack of understanding. Meanwhile, they face the same challenges, cooperate on issues of mutual interest, providing their members with support in many areas. In spite of historical difficulties associated with the development of NATO-UE cooperation, the new EU approach to security issues has made it possible to give a new dynamism to mutual relations. Defined common fields in the areas of: military mobility, cyber security, hybrid threats, counter-terrorism and women’s issues in the field of security are to ensure the acquisition of common defense capabilities, guaranteeing security for the members of both organizations.
