EN A reflection was undertaken on the subject of organizational cultures that do not meet the security needs of employees and the company from the perspective of threats to the information security of the organization. The main part of the text was devoted to explaining the understanding of information security by the organization's management and the meaning of security culture resulting from the way of interpreting this concept. Including information security culture issues in the area of information security allowed us to notice the influence of organizational culture on the compliance of its members with information security policy procedures. Implementing PBI in an organization is closely related to the way of managing information security. Failure to understand and comply with the applicable procedures by employees lowers the level of information security of the company. The irresponsible attitudes of management staff, manifested by resistance to perceiving information security in a holistic way, have a particularly negative impact. The belief that only technology and IT are able to ensure information security in the company means that achieving compliance with standards and regulations is treated by decision-makers as a goal in itself and gives an illusory assessment of the level of security

PL W artykule podjęto refleksję na temat kultur organizacyjnych niezaspokajających potrzeb bezpieczeństwa pracowników i firmy, przedstawioną z perspektywy zagrożeń dla bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego organizacji wynikających z deficytu kultury bezpieczeństwa jej członków. Część zasadnicza tekstu została poświęcona wyjaśnieniu sposobu rozumienia bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego przez kierownictwo organizacji i łączenia takiego spojrzenia z pojęciem kultury bezpieczeństwa. Włączenie do obszaru bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego zagadnień kultury bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego pozwoliło na dostrzeżenie wpływu kultury organizacyjnej na przestrzeganie przez jej członków procedur bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego. Ich wdrażanie w organizacji jest ściśle związane ze sposobem zarządzania bezpieczeństwem informacyjnym. Niezrozumienie i nieprzestrzeganie obowiązujących procedur przez pracowników obniża poziom bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego firmy. Negatywny wpływ mają zwłaszcza nieodpowiedzialne postawy kadry kierowniczej przejawiające się oporem wobec postrzegania bezpieczeństwa informacyjnego w sposób holistyczny. Przeświadczenie, że tylko technologia i informatyka są w stanie zapewnić bezpieczeństwo informacyjne w firmie powoduje, że osiągnięcie zgodności stanu bezpieczeństwa z normami i zarządzeniami jest traktowane przez decydentów jako cel sam w sobie i daje złudną ocenę poziomu bezpieczeństwa.
