EN Reform of the energy sector is very important, both for the Ukrainian economy and for the reputation of Ukraine in Europe. Since independence, the energy sector, and especially the gas sector, has been totally in transparency and a major area of corruption. Energy is the most important component of Ukraine’s economy and energy security is one of the weakest links in the state’s national security strategy.
