EN The contemporary markets are characterized with features that finally motivate managers and entrepreneurs to take ventures for establishing and developing the internal Systems of Quality Management. The specific group of enterprises are firms in the TSL sector especially concerning logistic operators. The range of activities and their validity from the perspective of client are not only important but also essential for applying the certification in scope of control. The article presents these questions at the background of short review on developing thought in the scientific theory of management referred to quality. The milestones in development of managing quality and through quality are reminded. The essence and function of ISO 9000 standards are briefly characterized. Advantages from possessing a certificate of quality have been discussed. These issues are confronted with conditions in which prominent enterprises of logistic branch used to function as transnational corporations. (original abstract)
