Abstract
PL W artykule została przedstawiona opinia trzech byłych prezydentów Rzeczypospolitej Polskiej: Lecha Wałęsy, Aleksandra Kwaśniewskiego oraz Bronisława Komorowskiego, o 26-letniej obecności Polski w Sojuszu Północnoatlantyckim. Dodatkowo - w ujęciu konstytucyjnym - wskazano wybrane elementy uprawnień głowy państwa w zakresie sprawowania istotnej funkcji w systemie bezpieczeństwa państwa. Jest to swoiste kompendium prezentujące trzy, niekiedy podobne, indywidualne opinie o przeszłości, teraźniejszości oraz rekomendacje na przyszłość wynikające nie tylko z obecności Polski w NATO, lecz także istotnych zmian na geopolitycznej mapie świata.
EN The publication is a presentation of the opinions of three former presidents of the Republic of Poland: Lech Wałęsa, Aleksander Kwaśniewski and Bronisław Komorowski on the Polish 26-year presence within the structures of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. In addition, in the constitutional terms, selected elements of the powers of the head of state in the scope of exercising an important role in the national security system have been indicated. It is a kind of compendium presenting three sometimes similar, individual opinions referring to the past, present and recommendations for the future resulting not only from Poland's presence in NATO, but also from significant changes on the geopolitical map of the world.
