Abstract

EN The modern battlefield environment is characterized by high variability and diversity of operations, so it became necessary to modifythe military's management approach to a centralized and integrated one. The answer to these changes was the creation and implementation into the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland (RP) - the Integrated Multi-level Information System of the Ministry of Defense (ZWSI RON). A tool derived from Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) class software, its task was to streamline logistics processes in the military and integrate these processes with other functional areas: finance, human resources and personnel. This article focuseson characterizing and evaluating the usefulness of ZWSI RON in the Polish Armed Forces. In addition, important issues relatedto its construction, implementation and functionality were discussed. Most attention was paid to the modules in which, in the author's opinion, ZWSI RON is used most by ordinary soldiers. The benefits of its implementation and use were discussed. Conclusions from the analysis suggest that ZWSI RON significantly supports the management of logistics processes in the Polish Armed Forces. With its use, operational efficiency has been increased, costs reduced and combat readiness raised. The article concludes with a reflection on future prospects for the use of ZWSI RON in view of the dynamically evolving military reality.
