Abstract

EN Artificial Intelligence is a very popular and common for many activities in the day-today business for most of population. It help us in making home works, writing a documents, analyzing a problem, searching the information etc. on the other hand the amount of information required to be processed often exceeds human capabilities (in the required time), it become unacceptable for human brain to succeed. To make it more complicated, the time to complete a task is shortening, requiring increasingly faster decision-making. Without the support of ICT systems, completing tasks in the required time may be impossible. That is why even in military environment we are more and more often searching for a solution to support our commanders in Military Decision Making Process and let them act faster and better, to fulfil the latest requirement of the battle area – time minimization from recognize the enemy to our reaction. One should strive to use the principles of warfare - and as we know, initiative and surprise combined with a quick reaction time are the best tools to defeat the enemy Modern IT support is a must in Armed Forces in any country that is willing to be able to conduct in other than safe conditions. This article discusses the possibility of using AI to support commanders during the realization of the command process - to what extent it is possible and whether AI itself in the military is an opportunity or a threat.
