PL Celem artykułu jest analiza wpływu fali migracyjnej z Ukrainy na poczucie bezpieczeństwa mieszkańców powiatu chełmskiego, w kontekście społeczno-politycznych skutków wojny rosyjsko-ukraińskiej. Problem badawczy został sformułowany w pytaniu: W jaki sposób kryzys uchodźczy, wywołany wojną w Ukrainie, wpłynął na poczucie bezpieczeństwa społecznego i postawy mieszkańców powiatu chełmskiego? Postawiono hipotezę, że masowy napływ uchodźców z Ukrainy doprowadził do obniżenia subiektywnego poczucia bezpieczeństwa lokalnych społeczności, przy jednoczesnym wzroście postaw nieufności i napięć społecznych. W części teoretycznej omówiono ewolucję i definicje pojęcia „bezpieczeństwa” w ujęciu podmiotowym i przedmiotowym, natomiast w części empirycznej przedstawiono wyniki badań ankietowych przeprowadzonych wśród mieszkańców powiatu chełmskiego. Badania wykazały, że ponad połowa respondentów odczuwała niepokój wobec obecności uchodźców, obawiała się wzrostu przestępczości, utraty pracy i pogorszenia sytuacji socjalnej. Jednocześnie dostrzeżono pozytywne aspekty, takie jak wzmocnienie empatii społecznej i aktywizacja lokalnych wspólnot. W konkluzji podkreślono potrzebę prowadzenia działań integracyjnych i edukacyjnych, mających na celu ograniczenie negatywnych stereotypów i wzmacnianie spójności społecznej w regionie przygranicznym.
EN The aim of the article is to analyze the impact of the influx of refugees from Ukraine on the sense of security of the inhabitants of the Chełm district in the context of the socio-political consequences of the Russian-Ukrainian war. The research problem was formulated in the question: How did the refugee crisis caused by the war in Ukraine affect the sense of social security and attitudes of the inhabitants of the Chełm district? It has been hypothesized that the mass influx of refugees from Ukraine has led to a decrease in the subjective sense of security of local communities, while increasing attitudes of distrust and social tensions. The theoretical part discusses the evolution and definitions of the concept of “security” in subjective and objective terms, while the empirical part presents the results of surveys conducted among the inhabitants of the Chełm district. The survey showed that more than half of the respondents felt anxious about the presence of refugees, feared an increase in crime, job losses and a deterioration in their social situation. At the same time, positive aspects were noticed, such as strengthening social empathy and activating local communities. The conclusion emphasizes the need for integration and educational activities aimed at reducing negative stereotypes and strengthening social cohesion in the border region.
