Abstract
EN Objectives: The objective of the article is to identify the stages of development of artificial intelli-gence and selected areas of human activity on which it has an impact. Methods: These objectives were achieved through the use of a research method – content analysis. Results: As a result of the scientific research, key stages in the development of artificial intelli-gence and selected areas of its application were identified. The publication highlights key aspects of artificial intelligence, technical solutions, the historical background of its development, as well as its contribution to improving human efficiency, reducing time and costs. The description of modern solutions using artificial intelligence in selected areas of medicine and healthcare, business, as well as science and education, indi-cates the dynamic nature of their development and the essence of their impact on the present and future of humanity. Conclusions: In conclusion, due to its ability to analyse large amounts of data from various sources in a short time, artificial intelligence can influence, among other things, the time and costs of projects and processes. It is worth emphasising the concept of using artificial intelligence in the context of its autonomy and the place of humans in the decision-making process.
