EN Modern armies, and in particular military units, are facing increasing operational challenges that require effective management by optimising everyday operations and responding promptly to a changing environment. This article focuses on the potential of modern technologies in the context of supporting the current operations of military units, as well as optimising management processes in a military unit. The importance of modern tools in data analysis and in optimising management processes was highlighted. In addition, it is presented how new technologies allow identifying trends, detecting problems, and exploiting opportunities to improve the efficiency of military units and the human resources and unit management branch. The automation of certain activities contributes to facilitating the management of administrative processes by relieving personnel of routine tasks and focusing on key decisions. New communication technologies enable military units to exchange information quickly and efficiently and to coordinate actions instantly, which is crucial in a dynamically changing national and international environment. Virtual reality platforms, simulators and educational tools that enable the delivery of training to soldiers in various operational scenarios were discussed. All of these minimise cost, time while achieving impactful and measurable results. The article shows that new technologies have a significant impact on the daily activities of modern military units and the management processes that take place within them. Their effective use can contribute to increasing the effectiveness of operations and preparing subunits for the modern warfare environment. The implementation of innovative technologies into the military is now becoming inevitable. This requires the implementation of systemic solutions that will consider the achievement of strategic objectives, give competitiveness while fully ensuring security.
